Southgate Renovation

An 8-week project to expand spaces and refresh the style for a townhouse’s kitchen.

OVERVIEW

DURATION: 8 Weeks

SERVICES: Floor repairs, ceilings scraped and painted, wall removed, new cabinetry, countertops, tile backsplash, undercounter lighting, LED wafer lights, floating shelf lighting, plumbing, electrical

THE CHALLENGE

This was a tricky project in a townhouse.

When the client came to us, they wanted to remove two walls to gain space. However, upon inspection, we realized the wall was load-bearing and there was a heat run in the kitchen that was troublesome to work around.

To accomplish the client’s goal while ensuring safety, we had to come up with a creative solution.

THE SOLUTION & OUTCOME

Instead of taking out additional wall space, our renovators added length to the peninsula for additional seating and converted a storage area into a coffee bar.

The floating shelves above the kitchen sink not only increase the space but also add a touch of charm.

The clients were thrilled with their lovely new coffee bar area and spacious kitchen. A true transformation for the family and we even got a a seal of apawval from Ham, the family’s dog.

“They listened to our wants and needs and provided us with a project plan that was exactly what we wanted. Towne gained a lifetime client and I won’t hesitate to contact them when we’re ready for our next renovation project! 10 stars, will hire again”
